LAWAS, Jan 18: The Maragang GreenValley Dairy (MGD) Station has been enhanced with the construction of infrastructure such as a feedlot station, cheese making factory and storage warehouse.
According to a statement from the Sarawak Ministry of Food Industry, Commodities and Regional Development (M-FICORD), all the facilities developed at the MGD Station are to support the implementation of the buffalo milk-based cheese production project in a more systematic and sustainable manner.
Deputy Minister of Food Industry, Commodities and Regional Development Sarawak (Food Industry), Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Ismail today spent time visiting the station.
The visit was to review the latest progress of the MGD Station which is equipped with new infrastructure to support the production of buffalo milk-based cheese.
Also present were Lawas District Assistant Veterinary Officer Robine Asut and Maragang GreenValley Dairy Chief Executive Officer Dr Raja Imran Shah, MGD Chief Operating Officer Suzie Balung and Cheese Making Expert Dr Lorenzo Garigllo.
