FAMA Director-General Abdul Rashid Bahri speak to the reporters during the launch of the Sarawak Level Semarak Syawal Programme 2025
KUCHING, March 22 – The Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority (FAMA) is committed to helping the people, especially in Sarawak, obtain quality agro-based products ahead of the festive season.
FAMA Director-General, Abdul Rashid Bahri, said this was proven through the organisation of the Sarawak Level Semarak Syawal Programme 2025 which starts today until March 30, involving 72 of its branches throughout the state.
"I, on behalf of FAMA Malaysia and Sarawak, hope that visitors around Kuching or nearby areas will get supplies to celebrate Aidilfitri. I appreciate the presence of gentlemen at these 72 locations so that we can share our sustenance with entrepreneurs as well, because those who do business are locals themselves."
He was met by reporters during the launch of the Sarawak Level Semarak Syawal Programme 2025 at the Satok Trading Centre today.
Meanwhile, the Semarak Syawal Programme at the Satok Trading Centre was attended by 870 entrepreneurs from around Kuching.
In the program, the first 500 people will have the opportunity to get a food pack containing cooking oil, sugar, flour, potatoes, and coconut milk with a saving of RM5.
In addition, 600 chickens will be sold at RM10 each, meat at a discounted price of RM12 per kilogram, and selenium-grade eggs priced at RM15 per pack will also be offered.
