PPNS New Building in Kota Samarahan

SAMARAHAN, Nov 27 – The new office of the Sarawak State Farmers' Organisation (PPNS) located at Jalan Mutaqin here has been fully operational since September 25 and has been a 'game changer' for local farmers in promoting their products for sale.

The new office, which acts as an agricultural terminal that creates products including an agricultural product collection, processing and packaging center (CPPC), becomes a one-stop center for collecting crops and products from local entrepreneurs

"With the new office of PPNS Kota Samarahan, it can be a catalyst for improving the economy of the local population and marketing local agricultural products globally," said Kota Samarahan Municipal Council Councilor Junai Kaderi when met yesterday.

Apart from being a one-stop center for local products, the Sarawak State Farmers' Association (PPNS) Office also plays a role in holding Agro Festivals and marketing smallholder or farmer products monthly to provide opportunities for local farmers to sell their crops and livestock.

PPNS also provides six kiosks in the business space inside the PPNS building for rent by local entrepreneurs to sell their products.
